Some may consider this jam sacrilegious, I confess, I made it with frozen berries!! I bought a couple of bags of frozen mixed berries months ago and had tried them on my ready brek but they were too tart. They had been in the freezer taking up room for a while and so I decided to make some jam out of them. It only made two jars but the bit that was left over tasted good.

Dahl and Jammy Fairy Cakes
This evening saw the first appearance of a winter favourite in the vegetarian sweet tooth household - Dahl. I will try and put the recipe up over the weekend because it is really easy and tasty too.

It is Mr VST's 10,000 day birthday tomorrow and as a civil servant this, and most other occasions invented or otherwise, require cakes. So Jammy fairy cakes with icing and 100s and 1000s or chocolate strands have been made.
